There is a lot of information about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico floating around the media and other places and much of it is pure speculation and unfortunately just plain wrong! .  Now that oil well has been capped succesfully, there is no reason not to make plans to head to our beaches this summer! Right now, today Panama City Beach IS NOT AFFECTED by the oil!

OUR BEACHES ARE SUGAR WHITE and READY FOR FUN!  Depending on weather patterns and currents in the Gulf, which authorities continue to monitor, there is no real reason to believe that the oil will ever be seen or ever affect our 11 miles of emerald green waters and sugar white beaches.

UPDATE: July 18th.  Panama CIty Beach is currently not affected by the oil - our waters are clean and oil free and tested regualrly. Authorities tell us now that the oil well has been capped successfully and there is currently no new oil entering the gulf - there is a good chance that PC Beach will never see any significant oil at all.
